Esther Alvarado

Please donate to Esther's pearls. I graduated from Heights in 1973. My last job was a Code compliance where I had to do an early retirement due to being diagnose with Stage IV lung cancer in 2008. I have been fighting ever since being a non-smoker it was a shock for me because I thought only smokers got it ( sorry smokers for even thinking that).  The purpose of this walk for me is to get research and testing and early testing for this disease. In every physical I feel should be an x-ray because that's how they found mine. My symptom was a chronic dry cough 24/7 but I thank The Lord every day that he gives me. So thank you advance for reading my story.  I am doing well took a break from chemo because it was kicking my butt to live a better quality of life but if progression begins I will start up again.

Thank you everyone because your prayers have really worked. I am still here. I tried to make it to the reunion with Emily Ayala but we didn't make it.  I really appreciate all that our class of 73 has done for the research and one day I know I too will be cured.

I am so sorry I am working in Houston and will not see everyone at The Original on October 5th. The 15th of October is my daughters birthday and I will not be able to attend. I hope you all have a great time and the photographers in the group will take and post some pictures for those of us unable to make it. I am so glad everyone is still getting together. xo

Kathy, We'll miss you! I was SO hoping that you and I could perform our Monnig Follies' routine to "Fort Worth, Fort Worth, That's My Hometown"! It was no small feat to track down "45" record AND record player! OMG, does that date us or what??? Love and kissses, Anne

No problem to me, I didn’t read it until 10.

Still a Bomber Plant detail engineer type ,even though retired, mostly commented as this page last used in 2016?

Hello, AHHS classmates of 73! Our 45th Reunion is coming soon and will be a blast!  Cliff Smith and I want to have another golf tournament like we had 5 years ago that Mike Coleman put together in which he did an awesome job! Anyone interested let me or Cliff know by 5-25-18 which will give us time to set up a course and get consecutive tee times for all of us. Also, let us know your handicap so we can get the teams evenly matched. My number is 817-988-2796 or Cliff number is 817-919-3892. You can text, call, or if you prefer use the class website and message either one of us. We are looking forward to seeing everone!

Thanks,

Marc Monzingo

Hail the Gold and Hail the Blue!

This is sooo fun, and HUGE THANKS to Claudia and Eunice for pulling this Reunion together for June 8 at Pinstripes! Claudia ordered FABULOUS wrist bands that came in this week! Of course, they’re blue and gold and have the cutest Yellow Jacket on them!!!!

We are 30 short of signups to break even by this Friday, June 1, so please, please, if you haven’t registered, please do so ASAP for June 8! And, let’s keep spreading our Yellow Jacket Fever to get more classmates to Pinstripes!

Many thanks to those who volunteered for Meet and Greet.
Here’s what I have:

6:30 - 7  pm - Suzy Jary and Houston Kauffman
7:00 - 7:30 pm - Jean (Stacy) Robinson  and NEED ONE MORE!
7:30 - 8 pm - Zippo (and that’s not a person)  and NEED TWO!

SO, if you have it in your heart to volunteer for 30 minutes to warmly welcome our classmates, let me know! anne.robillard@verizon.net or 817-798-6884.

Please get the word out!  To the left….to the right…. To the left, to the right…. My head is shaking.. my pants too tight…( did we really say that?)…come on Jackets, let’s fight fight fight!

Ok Folks,

It’s time to step up and party with some people you haven’t seen in a long while. Get off your butts and respond !!

You know about Friday, that’s no secret.

However, Bill Clemons has reserved the Terrace Suite at the Worthington Hotel overlooking Sundance Square for Saturday night... at his expense... for your partying pleasure.  Yes, he’s lost his mind, but it’s his money. So step up !!

Looking forward to this weekend, after all... these opportunities don’t grow on trees !!!

All The Best,

Bill Davis
