Don Traylor

I am sadden to hear about Katy.  Although I hardly knew her, I remember that she was bright and funny. My prayers go out to Gary and their family. May God gift him with strength, courage, dignity and grace to go through this time. Katy's light is visible.

Such lovely memories I have of Katy. Jackets basketball games, w/Pat Humphries and those hot pants!"Legs" was a fun and sweet partner for cheering on the team when they wore their Bee-striped uniforms! Gary, know that you have my prayers as I am lifting you up during this precious time in your life.

Hey Seniors 73!!!

We are so excited that we can start taking reservations for our 50th Reunion Weekend. It will start at 8:00am on June 23rd, for the Jacket Hack-It Golf Tournament, then the Friday Night Welcome Party at The Poop Deck, and finally Saturday Night, June 24th, a Buffet Dinner and Dance at Rivercrest.

All of the details are on the website and there is a "TAB" saying "REGISTER HERE" for your convenience.

For the golfers that have contacted Mike and Don, you still need to register on the website even if you have already told them you are playing.

This is going to be our BEST REUNION ever! We can't wait to see everyone in June!!!!!

Go Jackets!!!!

I want to thank the committee for getting this reunion off to a great start.  Mike and I are looking forward to putting on "The Jacket Hackit".  We'd like to see as many of ya'll as possible.  This is a fun and open event!  If you or your spouse or significant other want to join in, sign up.  If you will need clubs, let Mike or me know (left or right).  We haven't quite thought of how we're going to play it.  It would help if we knew what your usual scores/ (handicaps) are in case we can make up teams.  Looking forward to seeing all!

P.S.  We're really interested in having fun and maybe a laugh or two!

Don

Please reply to this post, Blaster Jackets,

I've been talking with Mike about a deadline for registering for the Jacket Hack-It golf outing.  Please let us know by June 2nd if you plan to play.

Remember that anyone (spouse/significant other) is welcome to join us.  It will help if we know about what they shoot in case we make a team event of it.

This is going to be fun!  Laughs and maybe a few tears!

Blessings,

Don Traylor

One month till the 50th Reunion!  Looking forward to seeing you.

Mike and I have about two weeks left to get a firm number of players for the Jacket Hack-It. So, ladies and gentlemen, please let either of us know if you will be attending.  Also, we'd invite you to come watch us make fools of ourselves!  If you're better halves are into chasing the little white (sometimes yellow, orange, green) pellet around, let us know.

We realize that some will be coming from long distances and clubs are a burden.  If you'll need some, give us a heads up so we can plan accodingly.

See ya soon!

Don Traylor (512-784-0992)

I just read this morning that Jeff Pumphrey's mom passed away at the age of 100. She had an incredible and interesting life. I can't seem to message him directly from here. If anyone has his contact information to share I would appreciate it. Thanks, Johnny

I know that I have less to live than I have lived.
I feel like a child who was given a box of chocolates. He enjoys eating it, and when he sees that there is not much left, he starts to eat them with a special taste.

I have no time for endless lectures on public laws - nothing will change. And there is no desire to argue with fools who do not act according to their age. And there's no time to battle the gray. I don't attend meetings where egos are inflated and I can't stand manipulators.

I am disturbed by envious people who try to vilify the most capable to grab their positions, talents and achievements.

I have too little time to discuss headlines - my soul is in a hurry.
Too few candies left in the box.

I'm interested in human people. People who laugh at their mistakes are those who are successful, who understand their calling and don't hide from responsibility. Who defends human dignity and wants to be on the side of truth, justice, righteousness. This is what living is for.
I want to surround myself with people who know how to touch the hearts of others. Who, through the blows of fate, was able to rise and maintain the softness of the soul.

Yes, I hustle, I hustle to live with the intensity that only maturity can give. I'll eat all the candy I have left - they'll taste better than the ones I already ate.

My goal is to reach the end in harmony with myself, my loved ones and my conscience.
I thought I had two lives, but it turned out to be only one, and it needs to be lived with dignity.”

Brilliant Anthony Hopkins
and free interpretation of Mario de Andrade’s poem

Let's all show up at the 50th, act like 15 year olds and eat "some candy"!!

Regards, Jack

Saturday morning the 24th, Dr. Richard Selcer, TCU history professor, will lead a short guided tour just for our class from the Embassy Suites downtown to the bluff behind the Court House where Fort Worth was founded. The walk, which is less than a mile roundtrip, will begin at 9AM from the lobby and return at 11AM. Professor Selcer will share Fort Worth history as we walk through Sundance Square. There is no cost. So we have a head count, please contact me at whclemons@yahoo.com if you want to join us. Thanks. Bill C
