Joined the Dallas EY office as a full-time copy editor in November 2014.

I took an "early retirement" package from the national office of the Boy Scouts of America after working as a magazine editor for 33 years. I was way too young to retire, so I've begun a "second act" as a copy editor for EY in Dallas. It's a great firm.

I’m a frustrated German student. Loved the 2.5 years I spent in Frau Meyer’s class out in the temp buildings. Took another two years in college and various “continuing ed” courses thereafter.

Both of my kids are fluent German speakers, having lived there for a time. I travel to Bavaria at least once a year (love Oktoberfest and the Christkindlmarkts at Christmas). So in my quest to master “The Awful German Language” (read Mark Twain’s essay by the same title), I now have a weekly German tutor. Hopefully I can one day say more than „Ich kann ein bisschen Deutsch.“
