School Story
I did have some great adventures. I worked as a nurse in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for three months at the King Fahad Hospital in pediatrics. All my patients were bedouins. I had a roommate from Corke, Ireland named Nora, who I am still in correspondence with.When I left I travelled two months by myself in Egypt, Israel, the Greek Islands,Greece,Italy and London. I was an LVN from 22 untill 30 years old when I graduated as an RN from Columbia Pesbyterian in New York City. I lived in an old Dominican Republican convent with 42 nursing students in a Dominican Republican neighborhood for 12 months on 172 Street.
When I was 31 I took a 28 day tour to 14 countries in Europe, and one week in Moscow and Leningrad.
I was married for almost 20 years, and with my family we travelled a lot in the states.We went to a lot of national parks. We went to Yosemite, my favorite 3 times, and the Grand Canyon, Olympic, Yellowstone, Crater Lake, and Smoky Mountain national parks.. We went to Los Angeles, my favorite city every summer, and the kids went to Disneyland at Anaheim every summer.We also took the kids to New York City, Gettysburg and Boston.
In the last few years I have been to Ireland twice, Scotland once to discover my heritage.I also went to Israel, and visited a Christian Arab village named Aboud, and met a young man named Issa who I sponsored to go to Bethlehem University to become a social worker.He was the first in his family to graduate from college.It was a great adventure.Reading and travelling are my two favorite passtimes.
